An Introduction to Bats and Swifts in Churchyards

This adult course is funded by Caring for God’s Acre, who recently received grant funding for the Beautiful Burial Ground Project, from the Heritage Lottery Fund. This project will put burial grounds on the map, by revealing the hidden heritage and wildlife of burial grounds across England and Wales. Part of this project involves providing training to citizen scientists in biological recording.

What to bring?: 
Please feel free to bring in guidebooks / equipment and notebooks to record with on the day, and appropriate clothing and footwear. As we will be walking to and from the Churchyard at dusk you may wish to bring a torch, and a bat detector if you have one. You will need to bring your own lunch / refreshments.
