Coppincing sessions - Cranham Marsh, Havering

Do you want to try the ancient art of coppicing?

Cranham Marsh is a 32 acre Nature Reserve in Romford. The site consists of ancient woodland, sedge fen and marsh. 

Over the winter months we have a number of work parties to manage the ancient woodland on site through the ancient art of coppicing. This will involve cutting down woodland stands of a certain age to promote regrowth. 

Volunteers will need to bring gloves and suitable clothes inlcuding sturdy footwear, all training and tools will be provided.
