Tree planting for Help for Heroes
Summary:
We were delighted to have been invited to join staff, volunteers and beneficiaries at Chavasse VC House, the Help for Heroes Recovery Centre in Colchester as they welcomed their President, General the Lord Dannatt, to plant three trees in commemoration of the centenary of the end of the First World War and to honour our veterans past and present.

The trees are a beautiful addition to the ‘Hope on the Horizon’ garden at the centre, which is currently being improved for wildlife and people as part of an ongoing partnership project between Essex Wildlife Trust and Help for Heroes. The garden is used to support the recovery of beneficiaries and was recently awarded a 'Living Landscapes Award’ for its contribution to wildlife.
