Summary:
Marine pollution is one of the major challenges facing our seas today. Every year hundreds of species accidentally eat or become entangled in rubbish and nets and if left, plastic debris in coastal areas remains in marine ecosystems for centuries! But we can help! All round the country, people are taking part in the Great British Spring Clean between 2-4 March 2018. We’re getting involved to clean up one of our own amazing beaches. Using the Marine Conservation Society Beachwatch methodology, we’ll also survey a section to help identify what kinds of pollution are along the Essex coast.
