Would you like to get involved with Essex Wildlife Trust on a local level? Are you enthusiastic, positive and enjoy managing and leading groups? If so, our Braintree Local group is looking for you.

The Local Groups act at a local level to promote activities and campaigns on behalf of the Essex Wildlife Trust. Their overall aim is to support the Trust and it’s staff in delivering its charitable objectives.

In the role of Chairperson, you will act as a spokesperson for the local group, chair the quarterly meetings and respond for the local group where required. The group also organise fundraising events and local walks and talks.

It would be an advantage if you have a good knowledge of the local area and are used to dealing with people from all backgrounds.

As well as the opportunity to make a significant contribution to a worthwhile organisation, the role provides opportunities to develop skills and knowledge as well as a good understanding of how local voluntary branches of a charity work. It is a chance to get involved with a charity on a local scale and to become part of a thriving community of committed staff and volunteers.
