St Peter’s Marsh is one of Essex Wildlife Trust’s smallest reserves, comprising of fresh water marsh fed by springs and is a traditional breeding site for frogs.
A volunteer warden is required to help manage the reserve.

Working independently, you will be available to visit the site on at least a weekly basis to act as the Trust’s eyes and ears on the reserve. You will never be truly alone though, as you will be supported by our North West Area Reserves team who will be on hand to provide you advice and guidance.

You will patrol and inspect the reserve on a regular basis and deal with any problems as appropriate. In addition to conducting regular inspections you will carry out yearly site audits and feed this back to the team.

You must be suitably fit to work outside and able to walk across uneven terrain and be comfortable working on your own.
