We are looking for enthusiastic communicators to talk about why you should join our amazing volunteer team.
Essex Wildlife Trust was founded by a team of volunteers in 1959. Now 60 years on we have over 2,000 volunteers supporting the Trust in a variety of roles across Essex. Now, more than ever, we need to get even more people involved in volunteering so that the Trust can continue its great work for at least another 60 years.
We are looking for Volunteer Recruiters to manage a volunteering stall in our visitor centres and at events to talk about ways to get involved with the Trust on a voluntary basis.
The role will involve looking at maps of Essex and cross referencing with a database of the opportunities currently available. We will provide full training on the sorts of opportunities we offer and common questions about volunteering.
The ideal person will be friendly and personable and be comfortable approaching people from all backgrounds to talk about volunteering.
Locations across Essex are available, with chances to travel if desired or to just be affiliated with one site if preferred.
The hours will be on an ‘as and when’ basis with no regular commitment required, perfect for someone short on time or unsure when they might be available in the future.
