Commitment
Tuesday, Wednesday, ThursdayFrequency
WeeklyThe work involves mixing bird seed, using the machinery provided, packing and sealing it into labelled bags of different sizes ready for delivery to the Trust’s 11 Visitor Centres around the county.
This work is quite physical involving lifting and carrying bags of bird seed around the farm, in and out of a van, and into the Centres themselves. A small amount of paperwork is also involved although the majority of this is carried out by the operative managing the team.
In order to carry out deliveries you would need to hold a full valid driving licence and be aged over 25 (due to insurance restrictions). The deliveries are currently undertaken on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays along fixed routes of between 70 and 110 miles.
Ideally you would be able to commit to helping for one day a week (day dependent on work schedule) but some flexibility is always welcome.
