Winter Work Party - Braintree area

Are you based in North Essex and looking to get outdoors? Our monthly Work Parties around Braintree and Halstead are looking for extra hands.

Work party volunteers are need to help with coppicing activities near Braintree. 

Coppicing is an ancient form of Woodland Management, where ‘stands’ of trees are felled when they reach a certain age to provide wood materials. Coppicing for conservation creates additional habitat in the woodlands. Some scrub will be burnt on a bonfire. 

Volunteers will need to bring winter work wear, food and drink. Please be aware most sites are remote and will not have access to bathroom facilities
