Winter Work Party - Clacton, Weeleyhall Wood

Are you based in Tendring and looking to get outdoors? Our monthly Work Parties around Clacton are looking for extra hands.

Work party volunteers are need to help with coppicing activities at Weeleyhall Wood near Clacton 

Coppicing is an ancient form of Woodland Management, where ‘stands’ of trees are felled when they reach a certain age to provide wood materials. Coppicing for conservation creates additional habitat in the woodlands. Some scrub will be burnt on a bonfire. 

Volunteers will need to bring winter work wear, food and drink. Please be aware most sites are remote and will not have access to bathroom facilities
