For the new or inexperienced birder
 A Conducted walk looking for and identifying shingle ridge, saltmarsh and mudflat birds
 A list will be compiled of those birds recorded
 There may be opportunities to take photographs
 There will be some discussion of the life style of the birds

Summary: 

There will be a walk which will include the shingle ridge and at least one hide which overlooks a creek and a scrape, where we may expect to see both small and shore birds

What to bring?: 

Hand lens- By all means bring but binos more useful. Binoculars or spotter copes would be useful. Clothing appropriate to the weather conditions, packed lunch. Tea/coffee will be provided. Please note that there are very basic facilities at Colne Point- a chemical toilet and small hut. There will also be a certain amount of walking involved
